ABOUT Ashlyn

Since early childhood, Ashlyn has possessed a driving passion for the arts & for personal beauty. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond, she became a certified makeup artist in the retail sector, serving as a beauty consultant for Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, & Bare Minerals before launching into freelance artistry. Since then, she has completed education in New York with the Makeup Forever Academy as well as studied under renowned bridal hair stylist Stephanie Brinkerhoff from Hair & Makeup by Steph/BehindTheChair & completed multiple workshops by various artisans at the IMATS in LA. She combines her love of history, comprehensive style, & finding themes with the world of beauty & fashion.

 

Her work is featured on publications such as People.com, Today.com, Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, BRIDES, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, and others as well as projects with the Virginia Lottery, Lumber Liquidators, the 48-Hour Film Project, & Williamsburg Tourism.

She is devoted to providing glamour, precision, & product-longevity to each client with current celebrity-inspired styles, and her focus on proper skincare & color theory both in makeup and clothing are what make each client look their absolute best!
